National CASA offers online courses on using the COMET Case Management System on the dates shown below. All classes are available to National CASA Association member program personnel only and are 60 to 90 minutes long. If you are interested in registering for an online class, please email COMET@nationalcasa.org and provide your name, CASA program name, city, state and the date of the training you would like to attend. Please request only one training at a time.

More than one person at each site may attend the training. You will need access to a telephone and a computer with a high-speed internet connection (DSL, cable or T1).

Note: We are not offering in-person COMET trainings at this time. If you have a question about COMET trainings offered at the National CASA conference, please refer to the conference page. If you are with a CASA state organization and would like information about organizing your own training, contact COMET tech support. We will assist you by providing materials and training agenda suggestions to meet the needs of local programs.

Using COMET Tools: Although COMET comes with a number of reports already built in, it would be impossible to provide reports to fit every program's needs. If you are familiar with Microsoft Access, you can use the Comet Tools4 file to build your own customized queries and reports based on your COMET data. We highly recommend that anyone who wants to build queries and reports takes a beginner and intermediate Microsoft Access class to fully leverage the potential of COMET and COMET Tools. COMET technical support can provide assistance in building customized queries and reports to extract data using COMET Tools.
